I really like IM. I used to use it when my parents lived in South Dakota. It saved us a tone of money (for long distance calls) I will use hope to use IM when I become a teacher to communicate with people in the building, or at other buildings. I am in an Internship class and the teacher I am working with used IM to contact another teacher in another building to see if she had a master copy of a worksheet that was being used in class that day. She needed to know if the other teacher had a master copy because the copy machine was broke and she didn't make enough copies the first time.
