TECS 390 Fall 2007-Cyndi Danner-Kuhn

Instructional Technology for Elementary Teachers

Teachers from the trenches:
The TECS 390 students listen to four Podcasts each week and reflect on what they have learned. Talk about staff development at it best!!! They choose three from this list below and then one of they find themselves. Could you make a suggestion or two for Podcasts they should make sure to listen to in the coming weeks. They access them mostly from iTunes, but I have included the websites as well just in case. Plus is is always handy to be able to get to the show notes.

Moving at the Speed of Creativity by Wesley Fryer Website: http://www.speedofcreativity.org

I also enjoyed Women of Web2. And I love Jan Brett. Thank you everyone for sharing all this with us. It makes this an awesome class to have access to so much!

I recommend Jan Brett's website, http:www.janbrett.com.
Jan has a monthly "Hedgie-Gram", as she calls them.

Very few authors have such child centered, teacher oriented website. She was a pioneer and continues to develop new online and real time venues for her work.

Ginger: Love your first one, i left a comment but hit the button by mistake before I edited typos, Please forgive!!!

Christine; I agree, I love November too, but sometimes his are not the best audio. and Vicki Davis is just amazing. I probably should add her to my required list to select from.

I like Alan November (although sometimes the audio isn't the best), The SmartBoard Podcast, and Vicki Davis. Visit the edtech section of itunes podcasts.

In addition to those above, I've got a few I like to listen to:

Ben Wilkoff's Discourse About Discourse
http://yongesonne.edublogs.org/

Paul Bogush's Turkey Crossing:
http://turkeycrossing.podomatic.com/

Steve Dembo's Teach42
http://www.teach42.com/

I've also got one that's, while growing, still in development stage and could use some feedback. If you don't mind this self-promotion:

I try to catch the Kojo Namdi show every week. Though it's more tech related than edu-tech.
