Dream job?
My dream job would be finding a Kansas district that needs their entire K-12 art curriculum developed or revamped. Part of my job, even if it were on my own time, would include doing research on cognitive development in children and how creativity enhances this process. This information would then be applied to the art curriculum itself. Later, I would like to get a specialists license and become a librarian. Just to be around information and to help others appreciate literature and information would be exciting for me.
About Me:
I'm currently finishing an elementary education degree from Fort Hays State University. I'll be student teaching in spring 2008. After graduation, I'll be interested in either a K-6 general education position or a K-12 art position.
Your computer: Give me details?
My Dell computer is approximately one year old and uses Windows XP.
Favorite Music:
I enjoy all types of music from bluegrass, rock, rhythm and blues, country (both classic and contemporary), and even some rap and hip-hop as well. As of lately, I've become intrigued with artists that were slightly before my time (or perhaps I was only too young to notice) such as Neil Young, Bob Dylan, and Van Morrison. Ask me three months from now and I will be onto something "new" to me. My iPod has over 1600 tunes and I'm still able to find more to add.
Favorite TV Shows:
I'll always be an "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "Frasier" fan for the quick wit. As of lately, however, I've started watching "King of Queens" reruns. Interestingly enough, I only become attracted to television shows once their popularity has declined--seems I'm always too busy to enjoy these shows at their peak. Other than that, anything on the Documentary , History, or Discovery Channel are top picks for me!

Wisdom to Consider:

"We live in an age when unnecessary things are our only necessities."
-- Oscar Wilde (1854-1900)
