- I have it! I'm a traveling ski teacher.... not exactly in that order. I'm a special education teacher in a 5th grade collaborative classroom on Long Island, New York. I work for the best school district and I enjoy every minute I spend at work. I'm also a volunteer adaptive ski instructor for people with disabilities. I commute a lot between those two jobs and the most important job of all, mom to my 3 year old daughter.

- I'm a special education teacher in a 5th grade collaborative classroom. This September I will begin my 5th year of teaching. I'm also the webmaster for my elementary school. This September, I'll be returning to college for a 2nd Masters in Educational Technology.

- My desktop is a Gateway 2000 and I'm looking to purchase a laptop for my Ed. Tech. program. I want the laptop to have 2 GB Ram, a 160 GB hard drive, wireless b/g/n, a CDRW/DVD burner, and an Intel Core Duo or a Turion 64.

My 1st Ed. Tech Challenge
Alright, I know you're in school for Instructional Technology, but now I am too. My first challenge is finding the laptop of my dreams as one of my requirements, but I have had difficulty finding one on my budget. If you've followed me on twitter you know it has been a long summer of searching for that ONE great notebook. Needless to say, school starts in 7 days and I don't have one yet. I feel the pressure. What laptops are you using and hopefully loving?
