I say "Go to Kearney!", but I may be a bad influence. LOL. My parents and many of my relatives are or were teachers, and we are of the opinion that not all learning takes place at school.
You should have the option to take your children out of school for "family business". If you have a good relationship with the principal, I would just tell them what you want to do. Your kids can take pictures on the way and back, write about the experience and bring back their autographed books. They can also bring the work with them.
If I was the principal I would think that was a great educational opportunity.
Kids are kids once!!!! We don't get a second chance at this.
